Drawing on the extensive expertise in the area of gender studies and sexuality studies in the School, this MA offers students an exciting and challenging range of modules where they will explore the theory, history and representation of gender and sexuality in literature, film, drama and popular culture. From psychoanalysis to queer theory, from medieval sainthood to modernist crossdressing, from the intersections of nation, ethnicity, class, gender and sexuality to the diverse understandings of gender across history, this course provides students with a thorough and wide-ranging training in the study of gender, sexuality, literature and culture.
2:1 or above in English or an Arts and Humanities degree
