Student Profile(s)

Marina Waters

"I am really pleased that I came to GSA as it has given me the ideal grounding to work across the industry with not only a high level of quality to my work but also a distinguished level of professionalism that never goes unnoticed. I put these things down to the excellent training that I received at GSA."

Scholarships

The discount applies to:

September/October 2021 entrants
February 2021 entrants
February 2022 entrants. Note: if applicable and Masters programmes are running with a February intake for the 2021/22 academic year.

Students graduating in the summer of 2021 may be eligible, as well as alumni from previous years, on receipt of evidence of the award from Surrey and where we can identify that you actually studied in Guildford. Students from SII DUFE are eligible for this scheme. Associated Institution students are not eligible. This scheme is not available to modular self-pacing students.

This scheme is only open to 2021 postgraduate taught entry students who are not in receipt of any external sponsorship.

Value of Scholarship(s)

20% tuition fee discount

Eligibility

If you are a fully self-funded UK, EU or international student who has studied for an undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey campus in Guildford, you may be eligible for a 20 per cent discount on our taught postgraduate masters programme fees.

Application Procedure

The University will identify eligible students, so there is no application form for this scheme.

For eligible students, the required pre-payment (deposit) of tuition fees due for 2021/22 will have to be paid in order to enrol on your programme, as previously detailed to you by the admissions team, then the twenty per cent discount (based on the full fee amount for 2021/22) is deducted from the remaining balance.

This means the tuition fee invoice, which will be emailed to your University email account sometime during October/November 2021 or February 2022 will reflect the actual balance due.

Surrey is pleased to announce that we will be running the Surrey International Masters Scholarship for new masters students coming to Surrey in 2022 from seven different countries. Awards of £2,500 are available to all applicants holding a Surrey offer to study a full-time masters programme in February 2022, (except the Surrey MBA).

All successful offer holders will be awarded a tuition fee discount of £2,500 on the first-year fees.

Value of Scholarship(s)

2500

Eligibility

In order to be eligible, applicants must:

Be domiciled in India, Thailand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam or Ghana.
Hold an offer for a full-time masters programme (except MBA).
Meet all the conditions of your offer.
Be an overseas fee-paying student (this scholarship is not available for students eligible for UK fees).
Be self-funded (you must be paying for your studies independently rather than being sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship. You may, however, also be in receipt of the Surrey alumni discount).
Be registering on the first year of a full-time Masters programme with a February 2022 start date.

Application Procedure

There is no formal application for this scholarship. All offer holders will be considered against the stated criteria and, if successful, the award will be paid in the form of a tuition fee discount. This discount will not appear on your offer letter, but will be applied to your CAS letter.

For programmes of more than one year the award is payable for the first year of study only.

Final decisions on the eligibility of applicants and allocation of scholarships will be made by the University of Surrey’s International Student Recruitment Office.
