The M.Soc.Sc. (Social Policy) is directed at people interested in social policy. Students need to be committed to understanding social issues and open to exploring the extent to which welfare systems offer solutions. The course provides opportunities for people with a degree to develope further compentence in social policy analysis.
The programme incorporates various distinct elements: •A series of taught modules addressing the academic study of theory and issues relevant to social policy; •Developing policy analysis skills, presenting and writing a policy report; •Attendance of a series of seminars relating to social policy; •An individual dissertation undertaken by the student.
