The M.Sc. programme in Investment and Treasury aids the development of outstanding individuals among the existing staff of financial services companies by providing the conceptual and analytical tools required to succeed in this fast-paced and dynamic industry.
It also provides accelerated career development opportunities for top graduates by facilitating their transition from full-time study to careers in investment and treasury management.
It is a programme with strong industry links and a focus on industry-specific knowledge and skills and ensures that those already working within the industry can fine-tune and enhance existing skills while gaining new knowledge and insights into this rapidly changing area.
The following are eligible to apply for the programme: • those who hold an honours degree in Business; • those who hold an honours degree in a discipline other than Business and are employed in the financial services industry; and • those who hold other qualifications (including professional qualifications) and haveworked in the financial services industry for at least three years. • class size is limited to approximately 32 students
Participants attend the programme on two afternoons per week (for which they are released by their employers) and on Saturday mornings, for two academic years. The M.Sc. programme operates on a 12 week semester basis. Assessment is based on assignments and end of semester examinations. Lectures are held on 2 afternoons per week (4pm until 8.30pm) and Saturday 9am until 12 noon.

The following prizes are awarded: The Fionán Coleman Prize is awarded by the NTMA to the student obtaining the highest mark in the second year course on the Fixed Income Securities module. The Liam Jones Prize is awarded by Goodbody Stockbrokers to the student obtaining the best dissertation mark each year.
Datastream services are available to participants on the programme along with on-line databases of academic and professional research papers and journals. The programme has access to an extensive range of publications in finance.
Career Prospects Since it began in 1990, the programme has established a strong reputation as the leading graduate finance programme in Ireland.
