Economics is concerned with virtually every aspect of society. The Economics master’s is a high-quality programme for the prospective professional economist with an interest in applying modern economic analyses to everyday social problems. Using behavioural models and statistical techniques, you will tackle economic issues in areas such as poverty, social security, inflation and traffic congestion. You will learn to take a structured approach to solving practical problems, and basing research conclusions and policy recommendations on scientific principles. As a graduate you will be a versatile and independent economist.
In order to gain admission to the programme, you must have a bachelor’s degree (equal to the Dutch academic bachelor’s degree), including advanced courses in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Statistics and Mathematics. Good comprehension skills in English are absolutely necessary for the master’s programme.
