About the course
The MRes Low Carbon Electrical Power and Energy Technology programme provides you with advanced and systematic education and training in the areas of electronic science and technology.
Designed in response to the rapid development of electric power and energy technology in China and worldwide, the programme contains modules covering solar converters, wind power systems, energy storage technology and smart grids.
There is a strong emphasis on hands-on experience and practical skills development. A 12-month extensive research project is required which leads to submission of a dissertation after students have finished the taught modules.
Entry Requirements
CHINA
Top 100 of 2021 Shanghai Ranking or World-class universities or First-class disciplines (MoE, People’s Republic of China): 75 percent or above (Weighted Average Mark)
Other universities: 80 - 85 percent or above (Weighted Average Mark), depending on your undergraduate institution
UK:
Bachelor Degree (2:1 or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as: electrical engineering, electronic science and technology, telecommunication engineering, computer science and technology, semiconductor physics, automation and control, embedded system, and other related majors
NORTH AMERICA:
3.0 Cumulative GPA (out of 4) or 3.2 Cumulative GPA in the final two years of your undergraduate programme

50% Scholarship
XJTLU offers a generous scholarship of up to 50% of the total tuition fee for all full-time masters programmes. All applicants will be considered for this scholarship based on academic merit.
Note: There are currently no scholarships available for part-time programmes.
