This 'top-up' course allows you to use your existing Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (after either the LPC or the BPTC/BVC or equivalent level professional legal qualification), and to complete a Research Methods unit and Dissertation or Research Project in order to obtain the fully-fledged Masters degree.
To ‘top-up’ your existing qualification to a full Masters level, you will complete a single taught module in Research Methods and then successfully undertake a dissertation or research project in an area of practical law, law in practice, or academic law chosen by you (subject to approval).
Whether studying on the accelerated, part-time or distance-learning mode, the LLM in Legal Practice degree course provides flexible study which allows you to deepen your knowledge of an area of the Law directly related to practice.
There are opportunities for Law students to take part in voluntary pro bono work experience in a wide range of legal areas. We are continually adding to our portfolio of pro bono partners, to extend and improve the opportunities for students.
