LLM Advanced Legal Practice

Course Description

This LLM is primarily designed for applicants who have completed their Legal Practice Course Qualification at this or another institution and applicants may be given credit for that qualification. This Masters could therefore be awarded upon study of the Advanced Legal Research Methodology module, which will give students the necessary training to enable them to extend their study to postgraduate level, and then completion of a 15,000 word dissertation on a subject from Legal Practice, leading to an award of LLM in Advanced Legal Practice.

The course is likely to be attractive to students who have recently completed their LPC, are still studying for it at UCLan and wish to add to their LPC qualification the award of LLM or have been in practice for some time. The LLM is likely to be particularly attractive to practitioners as this LLM is recognised by professional bodies for CPD purposes. Practitioners could meet their CPD requirements and obtain a qualification of the LLM at the same time. Law practitioners would have access to the most extensive and up to date legal resources electronically and in the library. These resources would be available from home or working environments via computer remote access. Practitioners would also have access to one to one support from experienced Law School staff on their doorstep.

Visit the LLM Advanced Legal Practice page on the University of Central Lancashire website for more details!
