The LLM in Legal Practice will enable you, the qualified lawyer, to further enhance your career prospects, whilst deepening your knowledge and understanding of legal practice.
You will be given the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to carry out independent research in an area of your choosing, resulting in a dissertation. You will be supported by experienced lecturers who use a range of innovative teaching methods, which will enhance your studies.
This course will develop analytical and evaluative research skills and provide students with an opportunity to undertake an individual piece of original research.
Over the course of the programme you will study one module in research methods each term, before applying this study and your knowledge of a particular area of law to producing a dissertation, adding to the scholarly work in that discipline.

-Research Methods -Dissertation
Typically one year full time, students do have the option of studying part-time or by distance learning.
Formal course assessment is based on two research proposals and the dissertation.
