FindAMasters summary

The Master of Studies in Law (MSL) programme at Colorado Law is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to gain legal training without pursuing a full Juris Doctor degree. This one-year, 28-credit programme is open to students who hold an undergraduate degree or its equivalent. The MSL offers two specializations: ethics and compliance, and human rights law. In the ethics and compliance track, students will learn to lead effective in-house compliance programs in various industries. The human rights track focuses on international human rights law and policy. The programme provides a comprehensive curriculum and prepares students for emerging job markets that require legal knowledge.

About the course

Colorado Law's Master of Studies in Law (MSL) degree is a one-year, 28-credit, no-LSAT-required program that enables students who hold at least an undergraduate degree to obtain legal training short of a full Juris Doctor (JD). Increasingly, emerging job markets have openings that require some legal knowledge and employers are assigning a number of legal tasks traditionally performed by lawyers to non-lawyers. Colorado Law's MSL will prepare students to obtain and excel in those positions. MSL students will be admitted into either ethics and compliance or human rights law tracks.
