About the course

On this course, you develop essential journalistic skills in a multimedia context. At the same time, you explore key theoretical issues and debates about journalism and news production in relation to contemporary media and society.

You will:
-Master techniques in researching and writing for print and digital media, as well as subediting and print news design
-Contextualise journalistic practice within a theoretical framework of journalism studies
-Understand transitional processes in the news landscape at local, regional and global level
-Understand and be able to analyse current theories and debates surrounding the media and society

Entry Requirements

An upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above (or equivalent) in an appropriate humanities or social sciences discipline. We also welcome applicants who do not have this academic qualification who are able to demonstrate in their application that they have relevant professional/creative skills and experience. English language requirements - Standard level (IELTS 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each section).
