The Issues in Public Health module will help you gain a comprehensive knowledge and critical understanding of current issues in public health.
The module will cover key approaches in the practice of public health, including: -Health Needs Assessment. -Commissioning. -Health Impact Assessment. -Change management. -Finding public health evidence. -Management of the media. -Perceptions of risk.
You will also have the opportunity to apply these approaches to public health needs in a geographical area.

Candidates must satisfy the Board of Graduate Studies’ requirements for entry. Normally, candidates should have obtained an honours degree or a final qualification of a professional society acceptable to the University. Candidates will also be considered if they have other appropriate professional qualifications and at least two years experience in an appropriate healthcare setting.
