Your programme of study

Islamic Studies gives you a deep knowledge of Islam and the opportunity to become an expert in the history and contemporary culture of Islam. You can become a known expert in your chosen area of specialism if you continue to PhD or you can offer your knowledge within employment.  Ideal areas for Islamic experts are within journalism, public services, finances, education, education, welfare, diplomacy, military service, social services and academia.

This is an interdisciplinary programme which broadens knowledge of literature, tradition and texts through to helping you achieve a good knowledge of the Arabic language with Latin and Greek from the ancient kingdoms of the past as additional elements to help you understand historical cultural information.
