The Pre-Masters followed by the MSc International Business is specially designed for international students.

This programme of study is right for you if:

  • You have completed a full first degree or a final year top up degree but did not gain a 2:2 degree classification
  • You have studied up to HND level and have relevant, recent professional work experience, for example, three years working within a finance function.
  • You have a first degree in a non-business subject and want to gain business knowledge combined with study and English language skills.

There are two entry points:

  • October start if you have an honours degree classification of 3:0 (or higher) and/or you have an IELTS level under 6.5 and/or you completed your first degree in a language other than English and/or your first degree is not in a business-related subject.
  • January start date if you have an honours degree classification of 2:2 (or higher) in a relevant first degree completed in English.

Pre-Masters

The Pre-Masters is a 10-week practical, project-based course which covers the necessary business content knowledge, English language and Masters level study skills for you to be successful in business studies at postgraduate level. If you have a third class honours degree you need to successfully complete the Pre-Masters before moving on to the MSc programme, as outlined below. The Pre-masters provides a minimum of 18 class hours per week in small classes of no more than 14 students. The Pre-Masters includes:
