The program emphasizes advanced studio and academic research in history, theory and methods related to an interdisciplinary approach to interiors and design, which is increasingly a requisite for professional advancement as designers to satisfy the complex requirements of contemporary architectural and interior environments. With special emphasis on their interdependence, there are four components to the program: a core design studio sequence, furniture design, lectures/seminars and projects. Each student must demonstrate originality, research and design skills, and creative capacity to resolve advanced problems in design.

1. Graduates of Riaci's Basic and/or One - Year course, or... - Graduates of 4 year colleges in art or design / Equivalent working or training exerience in a specific field, and desires to pursue their studies in a further advanced level. 2. Sufficient language proficiency in either Italian, English, or Japanese 3. A qualification exam including a 12 piece portfolio that best represents the student's work style is required for admission.
