If you’re employed in a technical or scientific role by local authorities, environmental consultancies or other organisations where environmental noise measurement features, this course is ideal for you.
Skilled practitioner The course is just five days in length, so you’ll be brought up-to-date quickly with current measurement practices for environmental noise assessment. You’ll take a practical and a written exam to evidence your learning and development.
This is a hands-on course that will develop your skills in both undertaking noise measurements and the successful interpretation of results. It’s therefore designed to be practical and highly relevant to the job you do.
As we know that many of you will be working and will be taking this course as part of your professional development, we may be able to hold the course at your place of work to make it more convenient.

The course will start on a Monday and will take five days to complete. You'll take a practical exam on the Friday. There's also a written exam that is normally held on a Friday about two weeks after the course.
We usually run the course twice a year in April and September at our Kedleston Road site in Derby. However, it may be possible, by special arrangement, to hold the course at your place of work.
