I was very interested in the prospects of biotechnology and I wanted to continue my studies in this area and pursue a career in the industry. In this way, the MSc in Industrial Biotechnology had caught my attention, since the course was shaped by the needs of the industry. Moreover, it offers a real work experience when developing the thesis with a project in the industry. Thus, I chose the course as it will provide the required experience for future employment.

Amanda Faria De Medeiros

After I graduated, I was keen to expand my knowledge in the biotechnology area, however, there was no biotechnology taught Masters courses in Brazil at the time. In that way, I chose to apply to universities from the United Kingdom due to the excellence of teaching offered and this course was the one that interested me the most.

As an international student, I find the city and the University very welcoming. All the staff and lecturers are always willing to help and people in Glasgow are also very friendly.
