The focus is on student-centred learning - which suggests that students' motivation towards their learning is critical and that learning must be of personal relevance to them. Students are able to choose organisations, case studies and topics for research which reflect their interests.
The reflective practitioner approach is built into the programme, and acknowledges the importance of learning from experience. The Developing Skills for Business Leadership module is based on a portfolio assessment which requires both reflective and reflexive approach to learning.
