I’m from Jammu Kashmir (Pakistan), I wanted to further my knowledge so decided to progress to a Masters course and chose International Horticulture. I wanted to study in the UK due to it being a multi-cultural country, but more importantly because the quality of education is good.

I graduated in 2008 and now work as a Quality Assurance Manager for a fresh produce company, who cover the following areas - production, storage, packaging and marketing of top fruits(apples & pears), soft fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) to the UK’s largest supermarkets.

The teaching staff at the University are excellent. There is also a dedicated International Student Support Officer who helped greatly with general things such as accommodation and visa enquiries, but also to get involved in the social life at Writtle and integrate with other students.
