A Master's by Research (MA) allows you to undertake a one year (full time) research degree. You will have one-to-one supervision by a specialist in the history of childhood and weekly Graduate History Seminars designed to enhance your research skills. Such programmes are attractive to those studying for personal interest, professional development or as preparation for a PhD.

The normal entry requirements for enrolment on a MA by Research is an Honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent, in a discipline appropriate to that of the proposed programme to be followed.
