The healthcare sector everywhere is dynamic and it is under relentless pressure. The demand for quality healthcare is increasing as the rapid advances in treatments and information technologies magnify the expectations of both patients and healthcare professionals. At the same time resources are limited as governments trim down their healthcare budgets. Dealing with this complex and often threatening environment requires highly skilled healthcare leaders and managers. These skills now include management of human and financial resources, leadership, strategic planning and organisational design, an ability to manage complex change, and organisational decision making. The course provides opportunities for you to develop these skills whilst enhancing the students' capacity to analyse and understand the complex nature of healthcare and the environments in which they are delivered from. The course will provide you with the opportunity to learn the most up-to-date theories to improve the performance of healthcare sector.
