You understand how to maximise resources in health organisations by analysing issues in health economics. Health Economics researchers need strong analysis and research skills, understanding of economics, how to conduct an investigation and understanding of behaviours. The discipline is extensively required to manage budgets across providers and ensure the best level of healthcare for all needs.
You are taught by the Health Economics Research Unit, partnered with the Health Services Research Unit at the University. HERU provides evidence based information to influence health policy across Healthcare Improvement Scotland Directorate, Analysis Services Division of the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland.
