In an age of climate change and threats to our safety and security, these global challenges are key concerns for governments, communities and businesses. This course educates engineers to become skilled in providing technical and sustainable solutions to these risk-based challenges, and protect infrastructure and society from a broad range of hazards.

Course description

This course covers the fundamental engineering concepts of hazards and resilience, the research skills necessary to formulate, study and approach civil engineering problems independently, the technical skills needed to generate appropriate solutions, and how all of these can be applied in a practical context.
