This course focuses on clinical leadership approaches, decision making, team building, reflective practice and creating empowered work environments within the context of the contemporary healthcare environment and viewed from an ethical-legal stance. You will also learn to conduct systematic reviews of care and standards of practice.
Your studies will be supported with explorations of research methods in a healthcare context and specialist topics chosen to suit your future career needs.

Credit for previous study
Applications for credit for recognised learning (CRL) are assessed on an individual basis.

Clinic and/or practical experience is a compulsory component of this course. While every effort is made to arrange placements, Curtin University accepts no responsibility should an agency refuse to accept a student. Most units are offered only once each year. As many units are required to be completed in a pre-determined sequence, part-time students may find their choice of subjects are limited in some semesters.
