About the course

Bioethics is the study of ethical issues arising within health care and the life sciences.

The Bioethics Centre is a locus of excellent research, teaching and discussion in bioethics, which brings together staff and students from a range of academic disciplines and professional backgrounds.

Overview

The Bioethics Centre offers a comprehensive range of postgraduate study opportunities. These include single papers taken for a Certificate of Proficiency, through diplomas and masters' degrees, and all the way up to doctoral research.

Our postgraduate students range from those who have just completed an undergraduate degree, to experienced professionals from all sorts of backgrounds. These especially—but not exclusively—include people working as health professionals, or those with policy and legal

Entry Requirements

Every applicant shall be a graduate or have a qualification or qualifications requiring at least three years’ full-time tertiary study or experience acceptable to the Board of Studies for the degree; and present evidence of ability for advanced level academic study.

Admission to the programme will be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
