About the course
This course is designed to provide you with systematic training in individual components of systems medicine. This includes genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics and metabonomics (metabolomics). A strong focus is placed on metabolic phenotyping and computational biology, which will be supported by access to facilities within the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) and Centre for Computational and Systems Medicine (CCSM). You will gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience and understand its application in areas of unmet medical needs such as maternal and early life, aging and neuropathology and cardiometabolic diseases.
Entry Requirements
A recognised Bachelor Degree(AQF Level 7) with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, including studies in either biochemistry or chemistry AND either mathematics or statistics. Applicants who can show equivalent knowledge through vocational training and/or experience will be considered.
You must be able to meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which may include the successful completion of a variety of English proficiency tests.
