The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education is a part-time program designed for the wide range of educators involved in the teaching, mentoring and supervision of medical and health science students in the hospital, community and university settings.
As the first part of a suite of three courses in the Master of Clinical Education program, at the end of the Graduate Certificate program, graduates will be able to: 1.Demonstrate advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in teaching and learning within the health education setting 2. Demonstrate capacity to communicate and work effectively with other health professionals, academics and support staff as part of a cooperative, professional and respectful team in the health education environment 3. Supervise, mentor and support students in a variety of health care education settings 4. Demonstrate an understanding and application of assessment principles and approaches in health / clinical education 5. Demonstrate cognitive, technical and creative skills in curriculum design and planning and evaluation.
The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education enables you to matriculate into the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, then the Master of Clinical Education.
Bond University’s Clinical Education program is intended to equip novice clinical and non-clinical teachers with the theoretical and practical skills to become effective educators.
