Running from February to September, this intensive, six month postgraduate jewellery course will help familiarise students with the key practical processes, techniques and terminology within contemporary jewellery and related products.
This course caters for students looking to top up their skills before taking an MA, as well as art and design graduates looking to specialise in jewellery.
Students will benefit from outstanding workshop based development from expert staff. The course combines theory and practice.
Students will develop their skills and work in workshops to produce pieces of a professional standard jewellery and related products. Lectures and seminars will be backed up by industry and cultural visits.
Students will be taught by an experienced jewellery designer-maker, and have access to first class studios five day a week, with intensive, full-day tutorials three days per week.
The course consists of two modules. Each module consists of a nominal 300 hours of study time
Materials and Processes (Conventions and Innovation); Self-Initiated Project.
