Objectives: -Professional Competence is to be obtained in: Safety area: anatomy and physiology, workplace hazards, human-machine systems, safety analysis and assurance, and occupational hygiene. -Ergonomics: human reliability, human performance, workplace design, work psychology. -Techniques: instrumentation, statistics and design of experiments, work analysis.
The graduates of this programme are expected to play a prominent part in enhancing the safety, health and welfare of workers in Europe. As a result there will be a net financial gain for the employers and better working conditions for the employees.
Graduate Diploma: A science degree, including a nursing or a psychology degree (Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland).Masters degree: A good honours degree in the above. Students who attain a 2.1 Honours standard may apply for transfer to the Masters programme and complete a Thesis and Conference Paper.
