Course content

The MSc Global Shipping Management programme provides a unique opportunity to address the academic and educational needs of the rapidly growing and competitive global shipping industry. This postgraduate degree programme addresses the key challenges of the shipping industry through the combination of theoretical maritime and shipping management topics with the emerging industry trends; applying the learning within the shipping, maritime and port industry sectors. This programme provides a global perspective and also maintains a high quality of delivery from experts, from both industry and academia. The programme also features software products and computer-based training from market leaders in the appropriate subject areas.

The aims of the programme are:

- To provide students with an enhanced knowledge base of current and reflective practice necessary to initiate or further a career in global shipping management

- To develop an advanced insight into the global shipping management commercial environment and requirements

- To develop critical insight of management issues relating to the shipping business.
