Our PGCE Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS) will give you vital skills to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). This full time programme will lead to a qualification for teaching in further education colleges.

While training with us, you will gain essential teaching skills and classroom management, the essential qualifications required to achieve your goals. Our PGCE LLS focuses on a career teaching in colleges, adult education centres, art colleges, health care and community organisations. Our programme also encompasses training for public services and a wide range of commercial and voluntary organisations.

Entry Requirements

For the Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) applicants and the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE), applicants should have:

A 2.2 or above in an honours degree in a relevant subject
Level 3 qualification in relevant subject if degree is not in a relevant subject
GCSE English at C or above or equivalent.
In addition candidates must:

Attend an interview
Undertake a screening assessment
Undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check and an occupational health screening.
