Our Financial Policy & Regulation course is designed to introduce you to cutting-edge theoretical and applied research in the fields of financial regulation and monetary policy, focusing in particular on data analytics methodologies that are becoming more prevalent in the field.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of the tools of central bank policy and financial regulation and will develop the ability to analyse data effectively, using it for evidence-based decision making.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate degree with high 2:1 honours (i.e. overall average of at least 65% across all years of study) required in a social science related area (e.g. management, economics, finance or other relevant subject) or equivalent overseas qualification. Our programme is most suitable if you have some quantitative background in either finance and/or economics or have a degree with some quantitative elements.

If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification.

Those who wish to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards should submit their application to study at King's by 10th March 2024. This ensures that you have the best chance of receiving a decision ahead of the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards 31st May 2024 deadline.

Prospective students must have accepted their study offer by 31st May 2024 to be eligible to apply for the award.

The awards will be applied to the selected students’ tuition fee accounts as a fee reduction. They will not be available against any other costs, and no cash equivalent will be offered. Any residual tuition fee liability must be met by the recipient.

Eligibility

The awards are available to India-domiciled students studying a first postgraduate degree at King’s, in one of the faculties named above. It is only valid for full time, on campus study, and only for courses starting in September 2024.

Application Procedure

Eligible students will be given the opportunity to apply for the Awards when they are made an offer for their chosen course.

They will be invited to submit brief answers to a series of questions set by King’s. Faculties will review the answers, alongside the applicant’s academic credentials, and make the awards accordingly.

Application closing date: 5pm on 31st May 2024

All offers will be made by the end of June 2024.
