About the course

Establish a career with any of the world's most affluential institutions, government regulators, or in academia. MSc Finance and Econometrics at Southampton is one of the only master’s in the UK to offer specialist training in advanced econometrics techniques and their application to finance. We’re also ranked Top 20 in the UK for Economics and Econometrics (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021).

The full-time programme lasts 12 months, with nine months of taught modules between October and June of the academic year, followed by three summer months of supervised research for a Masters’ dissertation.

Entry Requirements

You’ll need a 2:1 degree in a relevant subject such as maths, economics, statistics, quantitative techniques or finance.
