The Finance, Accounting and Business Graduate Diploma is a professional accountancy conversion course designed to offer you a graduate entry route to Chartered Accountancy.
This course was developed in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). ICAEW is a world-class professional accountancy body, providing leadership and practical support to over 144,000 members from across the globe.
The course is designed to offer you a graduate route to become a Chartered Accountant. You will register as a student member of the ICAEW which gives you access to many useful resources.
What you'll learn
The course builds from the fundamentals of: -Finance -Accounting -Business
This enables you to develop your knowledge and understanding.
The course also provides a bespoke skills development module. This was developed in collaboration with ICAEW and accountancy firms. It is aimed at improving your personal and professional skills.
The course draws on the expertise of three contributors: -Newcastle University Business School -ICAEW -Professional Accountancy firms
You will study an applied syllabus informed by current business issues. This will help you to develop greater commercial awareness. Teaching on the course focuses on developing your technical and professional skills. This prepares you for professional life.
Many of our graduates have secured training contract positions to complete the ICAEW ACA qualification. A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in any subject. We may consider your application on an individual basis if you have a lower grade. You also need to demonstrate a basic level of numeracy equivalent to the UK GCSE Grade B in mathematics.
