About the course
The MSc by Research in Experimental Physics allows you to undertake a year long individual programme of personally and professionally enriching research. Your experimental physics research project will be shaped by participation in activities such as seminars, workshops, laboratory activity and field work, as well as your involvement in one of our established research groups. While this research programme in Experimental Physics usually finishes after a year, it can be used to progress to the second year of a PhD degree in the appropriate circumstances.

Entry Requirements
Candidates for the MSc by Research in Experimental Physics should normally have 2:1 Honours degree or a Master’s degree with merit in physics or related subject. English language requirement 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each component) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.
