European Master in Archaeological Materials Science (ARCHMAT)

The two years of ARCHMAT have been full of insanity and magic and wonder. I've done things I've never done. I've met people unlike people I've met before. And I can say that I leave this program a better version of myself for having gone through this experience. I'm so grateful for everyone I've met along the way. I got the chance to live in three different countries, and I've learned and grown so much. I am currently a Museum curator in the Philippines.

I am currently a PhD student in Germany. ARCHMAT was not only curricular classes, it was also a combination of meetings, presentations, workshops and, in general, a great opportunity to meet a never-ending series of experts with which to develop an extremely important network of interactions. The two years of ARCHMAT leave you with a life-time of memories, a full luggage of experiences and skills and a head full of knowledge.

My experience as ARCHMAT student was life-changing. Not only did I meet like-minded individuals from all over the world, ARCHMAT exposed me to various scientific techniques that can be applied in analyzing material culture. It also taught me to be more discerning in acquiring information and searching for more data-driven studies not only in the field of conservation but also in general. I will forever be grateful for the ARCHMAT coordinators for their guidance and support throughout our studies.
