About the course

Applicants to the Department of Epidemiology’s ScM program should have prior research experience, either during an undergraduate degree program or in a full-time position. Students focus their coursework and research in one of the tracks available. Students use analytical skills to complete original research for their thesis. Students complete at least 64 credit units in epidemiology and elective courses, pass a comprehensive exam, produce a publishable-quality manuscript, and present their research during the annual poster symposium. Many ScM students continue working in academic research upon graduation.
