Course content

MSc Entrepreneurship & International Business focuses on the development of entrepreneurial skills. Combined with an understanding of the international business environment, these skills are increasingly important for a career in the modern business environment. Entrepreneurial and innovation driven firms from mature and emerging economies are increasingly taking advantage of global markets and seeking to improve their international strategies and operations.

You will develop an understanding of the global business environment and the factors that should inform both entrepreneurial business decisions and business organisation conducive to experimentation and change. You will also gain the analytical and strategic skills needed to set up and manage new enterprises in the national and international contexts and the knowledge required for developing innovation-based business strategies.

The programme then concludes with a dissertation project.

Learning, teaching and assessment

You will be assessed through a mixture of examinations and coursework. In addition, you will prepare a dissertation which will either be a business plan for an entrepreneurial venture or an investigation with a focus on entrepreneurship.

Career opportunities

This degree is suitable should you wish to set up your own business or further develop an existing entrepreneurial business, particularly in the context of international opportunities and threats. It is also a suitable first step if you plan to pursue a research or academic career in entrepreneurship or international business.
