Our EngD projects, run by our Centre for Doctoral Training in Functional Industrial Coatings, COATED M2A, are defined by our long-standing industrial partners and combine the academic excellence associated with doctoral studies with direct industrial experience. Projects are focused on the theme of functional coatings and covers the full cycle of products, from substrate preparation, formulation & functionalisation, deposition, durability and end of life.
The EngD is accredited by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining on behalf of the Engineering Council and will count towards your journey to Chartered Engineer Status
