The MSc in Energy Management (MEM) at ESCP Europe is an 18-month, full-time postgraduate programme for those aiming towards a career in the energy sector.

Taught in English at our London and Paris campuses and including an optional one-week seminar in the United States of America (Washington, DC and Houston, TX), the MEM is delivered by a world renowned faculty and specially selected industry practitioners.

The MEM's objective is to help students understand the energy business environment and its fundamental economic and technological concepts. Participants will gain the ability to develop and implement strategies to address major issues in energy regulation and policy, as well as strengthening their ability to live and work in a highly multicultural and international environment.

The MSc in Energy Management is accredited by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), as an ERP Academic Partner, guiding the programme in aligning its risk management offerings with the global industry needs and best practices.

The MSc in Energy Management programme aims to give students an integrated view of the various, industry-specific issues in order to cope with its complexity, thereby enabling them to deal effectively with the dramatic changes taking place.

MSc in Energy Management at a glance

The MSc in Energy Management provides students with a holistic, 360-degree view of the energy business.

  1. A holistic overview of the energy business sector, including such subjects as: Oil & Gas Business, Renewables & Electricity, Commodity Trading, Energy Risk Management (incl. Market Risk & Hedging), Energy Markets, Portfolio Management, etc.
  2. Real-life Trading Simulation Experience with industry experts
  3. Strong support & professional network exposure via the Research Centre for Energy Management. Some of the RCEM’s advisory board members include: Natural Gas World, Engie, E.ON, EDF Trading, Uniper, Total, Gazprom.
  4. Study in two different locations: London & Paris
  5. Integrated Internship of minimum 16 weeks
  6. Opportunity to attend an international seminar in the US with the Executive Master students
  7. Duration: 18 months (50% classes (Sept-Jun), 50% professional development(Jul-Apr))
