About the course
This programme aims to provide a broad based Electronic Engineering MSc which will enable you to contribute to the future development of electronic products and services. The course reflects Bangor’s highly regarded research activity at the leading edge of electronic engineering. The MSc will provide relevant, up-to-date skills that enhance the engineering competency of its graduates and allows a broader knowledge of electronic engineering to be acquired by studying important emerging technologies, such as, optoelectronics, bioelectronics, polymer electronics and micromachining. The course is intended for graduates in a related discipline, who wish to enhance and specialise their skills in several emerging technologies.
Entry Requirements
This degree is aimed at candidates who have gained an Honours degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related scientific discipline, at a 2.ii level or higher or the international equivalent. Applicants with initial degrees in other disciplines will be considered on an individual basis, with the assessment based on the applicant’s potential to succeed on, and benefit from, the course.

Anoop Menachery studied MSc Nanotechnology and Microfabrication at Bangor University before continuing to undertake a PhD at the School of Electronic Engineering
"I came to Bangor in 2003 to pursue an MSc in Nanotechnology and Microfabrication.
"Bangor University was one of the few universities offering such a course with so much hands-on experience in the clean room. The course gave me an in-depth understanding of the field of microtechnologies. The staff at the School of Electronic Engineering provided fantastic support and mentoring. I thoroughly enjoyed my Masters Course primarily because of the enthusiasm of my teachers.
"I am now studying for a PhD in the area of Nanobiotechnology. This area involves the use of micro-nanobiologies to scale down current medical laboratory practices thereby increasing processing efficiency. My area of research involves both experimental and theoretical studies which makes it all the more interesting. The last few years have been both intellectually stimulating and great fun. Besides studying at a friendly University, Bangor and its surrounding areas has a lot to offer people who, like me love the outdoors."
