Studying for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with the UEL Cass School of Education and Communities will push you to the limit - and you’ll be supported all the way by our world-class academic staff.
Research at Cass is innovative and responsive to the diverse educational needs of communities: in our own east London community, the rest of the UK, and internationally.
Our main research interests are: early childhood policy and practice, learning and teaching, language and diversity, work-based learning, teacher education, race and community, education equality issues, comparative education, professional education, social work knowledge and practice and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL).
Applicants for a PhD via MPhil normally have either a first class or upper second class honours degree from a UK Higher Education Institution, or an overseas qualification rated as equivalent.
If you have relevant research or work experience, but no degree, you can still be considered for admission. You will need to discuss your experience with the relevant School, and provide the names of two academic referees familiar with your academic work.
