About the course

This course will equip you with a solid grounding in the specialist skills and advanced theory that apply to post-production practice.

During your time with us, you will tackle self-directed and team-orientated industry briefs. This will give you a practical understanding of the creative processes, production workflow and industry techniques looked for by employers.

Entry Requirements

You should have a second class honours degree, 2:2 or above, with an appropriate amount of media production, technology and design experience.

For the MA programmes in media production you will be required to submit a project proposal related to your chosen specialist field, to support your application. A brief written synopsis (max. 500 words) of your ideas would also be required. Please note that this would be for discussion purposes at the interview only.

International applicants should have an IELTS score of 6.5, with no element below 5.5, or equivalent qualification.

Value of Scholarship(s)

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be applying for the first year of full-time study on this programme, or another eligible postgraduate master’s programme in the 2021-22 academic year. You must hold an offer for an eligible programme, achieve at least a second-class degree and meet your offer conditions by the admission's deadline.

You may apply for this scholarship if you have already been awarded a different scholarship. However, in line with the University of Salford terms and conditions, you can only receive one scholarship - the one with the highest value.

Application Procedure

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. You will be assessed when you apply for your chosen programme of study for the 2021-22 intake. If you are successfully offered this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified in order to receive the funding.
