About the course

Gain the skills and knowledge in applied economics to become a successful, policy-oriented economist in government or international organisations, or at universities.

Much of what you’ll study is at the forefront of the economics discipline in terms of both theory and applications.

How will I study?

You’ll be assessed via unseen written examinations, presentations and term papers. In addition, you’ll write a 15,000-word dissertation supervised by faculty.

Internship

This MSc has an internship variant. This allows you to take a three-month internship break for an approved purpose such as a placement in an international organisation or a research assistant post in a university.

Entry Requirements

An upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above in economics, including intermediate level microeconomics and macroeconomics. English language requirements - Standard level (IELTS 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each section).
