This course explores the new thinking needed to achieve step-change innovation. The Disruptive Market Innovation Through Design course is split into two different stages: 

  1. Evolutionary stage
  2. Participants will consider the role of iteration in product design. 
  3. Revolutionary stage
  4. Participants will approach the product from an entirely new perspective. 

A key outcome at the end of the course is that participants will compare and reflect on the two approaches.What will I learn?

Through a mix of seminars and hands-on experience you will learn to:

  • objectively analyse the features and benefits of a product
  • create ideas that evolve products, taking them an iterative step forward
  • understand the need for step-change innovation
  • use extreme idea-generation techniques, such as idea
