About the course

Centring your individual participation and achievement, this course will provide opportunities for current English teachers in Post Compulsory Education to develop personal and professional insights into linguistic and literary skills. Experienced Post Compulsory lecturers deliver online sessions emphasising active contribution and critical debate, analysing key socio-cultural issues relating to the practice and acquisition of English skills, reflecting on your own identity and practices alongside your peers through theoretical frameworks. Ultimately this course stands to increase your confidence in your ongoing teaching career, improving your pedagogical abilities and allowing you to branch out into more advanced positions.

Entry Requirements

To hold an honours degree (normally 2:2 or above) of a United Kingdom higher education institution or equivalent qualification in an English related subject area with vocational / professional experience considered carefully in each individual circumstance.

To have some English teaching experience in post compulsory education.
