Course Description

The MA Design course takes a multidisciplinary approach, recognising the advantages of collaborative practice and design interactions. We see design thinking and research as being at the heart of solutions to issues in areas of sustainability, and believe in its power to transform cultural, social and educational sectors. Successful business and economic growth can be built through the development and application of inventive design thinking.

Learning to think as a designer is the key to finding solutions and developing strategies that can be applied across a range of disciplines. Learning how to design provides you with skills to bring your solutions to fruition.

Building upon your communication, research and intellectual skills the programme will help you fully apply them to successful problem-solving. You will explore contemporary issues such as global trends, ethics, crossing genres, and new and emerging technologies for creation and communication.The UK has produced amazing designers - in demand worldwide for their ability to design futures. Entry Requirements

You will need at least a 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in a design related subjectWe usually interview and will want to see a portfolio of workInternational students need IELTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in any other band) or equivalent.
