About the course
This part-time programme is for dental practitioners who would like to develop their theoretical knowledge and practical clinical experience of treatment planning, surgical placement, restoration and maintenance of dental implants.
The programme's design allows you to gain experience of using dental implants and prosthodontics elements related to dental implants within a supervised environment, while treating patients through a series of hands-on exercises. You will build your knowledge through distance learning modules and study days. You will also have the opportunity to carry out a dissertation.
Entry Requirements
BDS or equivalent United Kingdom General Dental Council registrable dental qualification. Two years' experience after completion of an undergraduate degree. Preference will be given to applicants whose postgraduate activity demonstrates a clear interest in Dental Implantology.

Scholarships
At least 5 individual scholarships of up to £2,000 are available to support living costs for International students with an offer to study one of the following programmes:

Applications for the Faculty scholarships should be made through the Think Big Scholarships scheme link below and will follow the same process, Health Sciences students will then be considered for all relevant awards.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the University’s Postgraduate scholarships, students must:
i) Be an applicant to any one year, full-time postgraduate programme at the University of Bristol;
ii) Will start their postgraduate programme in September 2018;
iii) Be classed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes;
iv) Not already be in receipt of other funding which would equate to more than the full cost of tuition fees alongside a Bristol scholarship.
