Developed as one of the UK's first postgraduate conversion courses in this field, our BCS-accredited degree is designed to equip graduates and professionals from a wide range of disciplines and with a demonstrable mathematical aptitude, with analytical knowledge and applied programming skills.
Entry Requirements
You will need a minimum second class division honours degree or equivalent in any discipline, with previous demonstrable mathematical aptitude e.g. (A-level or BTEC Mathematics).
We also welcome enquiries from applicants who may not meet the formal/traditional entry criteria, but do hold relevant experience or skills that could facilitate successful postgraduate study. Through our Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process, we can consider your employment history and life experiences. Please contact our course enquiries team for further information.
International applicants need an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no element below 5.5) or equivalent qualification.

Scholarships
Our School of Science, Engineering and Environment offers a limited number of high-value scholarships to applicants across its postgraduate programmes based on academic merit. A Computer, Science and Engineering International Excellence Scholarship is worth £3,500.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must hold an offer for an eligible programme*, achieve at least a second class upper degree and meet your offer conditions by the admissions deadline
*Please note, this scholarship is not available for MSc Petroleum and Gas Engineering or MSc Gas Engineering and Management as a different scholarship is available for the courses.
Application Procedure
There is no separate application process for this scholarship. You will be assessed when you apply for your chosen programme of study. If you are successfully offered this scholarship, to receive the funding you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified.

If you're a postgraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme, achieve a first-class degree and meet your offer conditions by the admission's deadline.
You may apply for this scholarship if you have already been awarded a different scholarship. However, in line with the terms and conditions, you can only receive one scholarship - the one with the highest value.
