Our MA programme provides a series of connected learning experiences, which are delivered through four modules. The Curatorial Studies pathway within the Programme enables you to develop the skills, critical understanding and specialist knowledge required to follow a rewarding career as an independent curator or to work within a related creative sector.
Applicants will normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or above in a relevant subject.
Applicants with a lower degree classification and/or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.
Our Pre-Sessional English Programme (PSP) is available for students who have not yet reached the required English level and those who would like to improve their language competency.
See website for more entry requirements.
The master's course was perfectly pitched and positioned to enable me to learn. Truly learn! Not about creativity – that you cannot teach – but to learn about learning, to learn how to reflect, and to learn to embrace my method of understanding and development. It has provided me with far more than a fancy bit of graduation paper, it has given me the ability to understand myself.
If you are considering a Master’s course at Gray’s School of Art, do not hesitate. It is an extraordinary experience where you will learn so much about the practical side of industry.
